Outboard Rebuilds
An engine rebuild can revitalise your engine and get it running more reliably and efficiently again giving you peace of mind out on the water that you won’t have any nasty surprises from it and ensures it gets a new lease on life.
Jetski Servicing
We are also more than capable at looking after your personal watercraft, that includes every part of it from cosmetic repairs, damaged fibreglass to engine servicing and rebuilds. We can even service it’s trailer and give it a WOF.
Trailer Repairs & Maintenance
An often neglected but extremely important part of getting out and boating is the trailer, we can repair, service and even issue a warrant of fitness for yours to ensure it is in top shape to be caring prized possession, your boat.
Marine Accessories Installation
We can install all the extras on your boat that are essential for getting you out on the water including but not limited to: navigation lights, electric anchor fitting, chart-plotters, fish finders, fitting trailer lights and much more – just ask.
Boat Repairs
We not only look after the electrical and mechanical areas of your boat we also do full repairs to any part of it with results to the highest standards. So whether they are minor or major works to be done we will get back on the waves asap.
Pre-Purchase Checks
Buying a boat is a significant investment and you want to make sure you are getting a good deal and not a headache, we offer pre-purchase inspections giving the boat a full check over so you know exactly what you are buying.
Mobile Servicing
We understand that getting your boat to our workshop can sometimes be impossible, that is why we offer mobile servicing where we come to your boat with all our specialised tools making the whole process much easier for you.
Insurance Inspections & Quotes
If you need a valuation for insurance purposes to ensure your boat is insured for the correct amount or if you have unfortunate event that you have to make an insurance claim we can make a quote for you.
OUR OUTBOARD SERVICING CHECKLIST
When completing a service on our outboard we run through the following items to ensure you engine is performing as best it can.
- Test run motor and analysis
- Clean and adjust spark plugs
- Check cylinder compressions
- Check/Replace water pump operation & condition
- Check thermostat operation
- Check/Replace Gear oil level
- Check condition of propeller & grease prop shaft
- Check gearshift/throttle/steering operation & lubricate
- Carburetor adjustment & sync
- Fuel & water separating filter change
- Check fuel lines & connections
- Check trim/tilt system & levels
- Check warning alarm systems & gauges
- Check battery levels / harness, connections & load test
- Check oil injection system & filter oil delivery to cylinders
- Oil change and filter – check & adjust
- Valve clearances

ABOUT US
Started in 2003 by qualified marine engineer Alex Hasler, the team at Shore Marine has been serving customers in Auckland for 15 years. Alex is married with 2 amazing children who share his his passion for boats, fishing and anything in/on the sea. This has lead to his interest in safety and reliability when out on the water.
Located on the North Shore, the workshop has an extensive range of parts for most outboard motors and if we do not stock it we can source genuine or after-market parts for your outboard or inboard.
The team takes pride in providing thorough, honest and sound service and advice.
